We are in the process of relocation with Sirva and it has been a terrible experience. We have relocated four times so we are not inexperienced with the whole process. Before his company used Prudential and we didn't have any problem with them. Our "counselor" is young and I believe inexperienced. He constantly uses the very annoying phrase that some inspector will be "reaching out to you". I finally had a gut full of it and asked if they would be calling, emailing, mailing, or FedExing? I had had a real estate license in two states so I also know about some of the practices that are done with the agents they let you choose from. They sent one "Sirva trained real estate agent" that showed up with a shaved head and tattoos all over her arms along with spike heels. I had never seen a professional real estate agent dresses like that when I worked as an agent. I did NOT appreciate her spike heels on my beautiful hard wood floors. I know how to do a CMA and the comps she used were not comparable. So we had to list our home much lower than we wanted to because of her low price she submitted. I'm thankful I found this page because maybe by reading about the problems that others had at the end, we can be on guard about those things. And for the buyer who complained about a dirty house, I can tell you that we cleaned the house spotlessly before we left town but I now live in a different state and can't control what real estate agents and their clients may be doing when they go through the house now. My husband has to go back to the previous job to do some training so he will go back and see how things are now. A home that is empty is going to get a little dusty. I've moved into plenty of homes that weren't part of a relocation process that weren't as clean as I would have liked. Some people that are being offered a relocation package are high level professionals that really want to get a decent price for their previous home, doing their best in a difficult situation to leave their home "showing ready".
